One kid. One coach. You make all the difference. We believe in the power of sports to transform young lives through physical activity, confidence that comes with skill mastery and cooperation, and through nourishing relationships with peers and caring mentors. But the children most in need of these benefits are too often the least likely to have access to quality sports programs.

Since 2002 Coaching Corps has created or improved after-school sports programs for thousands of girls and boys in low-income neighborhoods through trainings, consulting, and technical assistance. 1,600 college student volunteers have coached 19,000 children in the Bay Area, Los Angeles, San Diego, Fresno and the Peninsula. To multiply the success of Coaching Corps, we have launched a $25 million campaign to bring this terrific program to communities across the nation.

Right now, you can help make a difference for kids who are growing-up in neighborhoods with few opportunities to play. Take a look at what your dollars
can do:

  • $100 can train a college student to coach 10 kids
  • $250 can support 1 year of team play for 1 child
  • $500 can help us inspire and recruit college students to become volunteer coaches
  • $1,000 can support the work of our Coaching Corps chapter student leaders
  • $2,500 can support a year of team play for 25 kids
  • $5,000 can support girls sports teams for a year

And larger gifts benefit even more kids!
